Job Description

Production Design Services is hiring additional Mechanical Assemblers to add to our team!


Perform the assembly and installation of special machinery. Primary duties include building new equipment from prints  to the customer's specifications. Each machine is different - this is not a production environment.


Associate's degree from a trade school, community college, or equivalent experience.


  • Three to Five year of capital equipment building experience.
  • Ability and knowledge to use hand and power tools, able to read large assembly drawings, familiar with GD&T.
  • Thorough understanding of assembly processes to include pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical assembly, torque setting equipment, alignment levels, and lasers.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment to include lathes, mills, surface grinders, polishers, and welding equipment. Must have your own tools
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor and lift up to 60 pounds without difficulty. Some ladder climbing. Cannot be afraid of heights.
  • Will follow the finished equipment out to customers’ location to complete the installation. Travel is around 25-30% and is pre-planned!
