Job Description

Staff Accountant 

  • Ensures timely completion of all month-end close activities, treasury management, fixed asset and capital expenditures, and assists in other general accounting functions.
  • Should have knowledge of, and seek improvement of, any process that has any impact on the assets, liabilities, or revenue of the firm.
  • Will be required to be involved in data and financial analysis.
  • Responsible for administration of inventory control area and supplies, vendor communication including purchase orders, communication on ordered items, and fixed asset control. 


  • Close month, quarter, and annual financial periods
  • Ensure preparation of various financial and managerial reports. Highlight important items for management. Cost accounting functions.
  • Study profitability of new projects when associated with capital acquisition. Ensure accurate fixed asset balances and proper depreciation rates. Assist in annual physical inventories.
  • Perform weekly inventory of Tool Boss, and Inventory Supply areas to ensure required weekly supply, tooling, and component items are on hand to support production. Ensure timely delivery of items and communicate issues to management when required.
  • Issue purchase orders and delivery schedules to vendors as needed for components and raw materials in line with production goals.   


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or other business degree with 1-3 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Should possess a complete understanding of the accounting process and how the income statement and balance sheet interrelate.  Should also possess a basic understanding of the business cycle and how various business processes affect income and balance sheet items.
  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to create models for analysis and simulation.
  • ERP experience required

This is a direct hire position with a targeted pay range of around $70K!
