Job Description

Electrical Engineer 

Provide technical support to Design & Test Department in the Area of Testing. This would include Analysis of Testing Specifications from Design Documentation and Developing Tests to ensure product meets Quality Requirements. 

Aspects of this includes:

  • Ability to comprehend US Department of Transportation regulations on Vehicle Displays.
  • Ability to investigate, design, purchase, and validate hardware for testing.
  • Ability to Understand Complex Electrical Circuit Drawings.
  • Ability to Develop Testing suitable for Mass Production Environment. (detection of quality issues and maintain cycle time)
  • Support existing equipment with current production, new model addition (wiring specifications)
  • Basic computer hardware knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications. 

Job Duties:

  • Set up automated tests for new models. To include remodeling of current and new equipment.
  • Investigate & develop new methods for testing (R&D).
  • Support production & maintenance with false failures & downtime on production test equipment. Provide training for both.
  • Set up tests with short notice in reaction to internal or external rejects and or escapes.
  • Implement design changes as required including machine modification.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 3 years in Circuit Design or Circuit analysis. Experience in automated testing of Electrical components.
  • Understanding of "CAN" vehicle bus is recommended but not required. Electro-mechanical experience a plus. 

This is a direct hire position with a targeted starting pay of $95k!
