Job Description

PDSI is recruiting for a Development Engineer for a direct hire opportunity for our client in Miamisburg, OH

The Development Engineer is an experienced, detail-oriented engineering individual that will contribute to and lead the development of innovative projects. The Development Engineer will work with a variety of colleagues in development and manufacturing. Will be responsible for product development, improvement of existing product lines, and various projects. Reports to the VP of Engineering. Located at Dayton, Ohio Headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, development, production, and testing of mechanical components for use in the air quality industry.
  • Leader for development, documentation and market introduction of assigned projects.
  • Contribute to various research and development initiatives to identify opportunities for improved processes.
  • Prepare specifications for various R&D projects.
  • Answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by team members.
  • Communicate and collaborate with key personnel and suppliers to support company objectives.
  • Conduct various tests and quality assurance checks to verify the quality of completed projects.
  • Work closely with Quality and Operations to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Conduct research to collect and analyze data to create reports about existing projects.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical design, materials and processes.
  • Experience and understanding of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 Quality Systems Management, UL and ETL marking requirements and knowledge of FDA CFR 21 Part 820 Quality Systems Regulations for Medical Devices.
  • Proficient with the use of SolidWorks for creation of models and drawings.
  • Organizational competencies and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline driven environment.
  • Demonstrated success in a start-up, entrepreneurial work environment.

Pay up to $90,000 Annually
