Job Description

PDSI is recruiting for a QC Tech for a direct hire opportunity for our client in Harrison, OH

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check and record first two bags, middle bag, and last two bags of each item produced daily for Production.
  • Record Scale Checks on daily basis.
  • Oven Cook and Bakery QC Checks three times daily.
  • Prepare daily Large Kettle Sample Cups for further analysis.
  • Check and file metal detection data.
  • Perform fat and moisture test on Production Meat.
  • Send out Q-lab testing documentation and samples on prescribed intervals.
  • Record times, cook and display first, middle, and last bags from kettle rooms. Hourly samples from oven room.
  • Check code dates and labels in every room for each product running.
  • Perform color, pH, salt, retort, Bostwick, and drained weight or sieve testing on each product as required.

 Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry
  • Ability to read and interpret Laboratory instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must be trained in chemical usage and hazard communication.
  • Knowledge of GMP's, USDA, and OSHA regulations and BRC requirements.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
  • Must be able to work in 36-40 degree temperature occasionally
  • Must be capable of climbing ladders and/or stairs
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay - $18 - $23 per hour
