Job Description

We are working with an OEM in the Dayton area that is seeking a Lead Mechanical Technician to assist in the building of their equipment.  To be considered for this positon you must have a valid Driver’s License with proof of insurance and clean driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.  This is a direct hire position, with a targeted starting pay as high as $28 an hour, based on experience and interview!  

Job Description: 

  • Lead and perform the manufacturing, assembly, and installations of work cell/projects from start to finish.
  • Lead the project and bench helpers by coordinating with the Shop Supervisor as to the projects requirements of material and labor needed to meet the Projects Scheduled dates.
  • On and Offsite installation of our systems at our customer's facility.
  • 15% travel required for this position to install and debug equipment at customer’s location.

 Technical Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' trade experience as a lead builder and machinist. Will be performing precision assembling of special machines.
  • ProtoTRAK programming and machining experience required
  • Rigging and Forklift operations a plus!
  • Must be able to read blueprints and schematics
  • Must own trade related tools and be able to invest in additional tools as necessary.
