Quality Tech/CMM Programmer

We are working with a busy job shop in the Dayton area that is seeking an experienced Quality Tech to join their team!  In this direct hire, 1st shift positon, you will develop solutions to routine technical problems. Targeted maximum starting pay is up to $29 an hour, based on experience and interview process!

 Job Duties:

  • Documents processes and creates inspection plans for parts.
  • Performs accurate processing of transactions into ERP system.
  • Ability to calibrate, maintain and setup inspection tools for use by self or others.
  • Ability to accurately inspect most components and materials, including machined and sheet metal parts, commercial items, and raw materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including layout views tolerancing, etc.
  • Ability to train/instruct/assist other employees in the organization in quality methods, including but not limited to drawing reading, inspection methods, tool use, etc.
  • Understanding of outside processing (e.g. heat-treating, coating, etc.) and how to inspect/verify.
  • Ability to program, operate and run an existing part program on the CMM 

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience.
  • Possesses intermediate level Microsoft skills, specifically in Excel and Word
  • Must have prior experience operating and programming a CMM!
