Job Description

PDSI is recruiting for a QA Supervisor for a 2nd Shift direct hire opportunity for our client in Cincinnati, OH

Key Responsibilities:

  • Covering food safety and quality responsibilities in the absence of the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Assist QA Manager in investigating and responding to customer complaints
  • Participate in all internal and external audits relative to the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Review holds and assist in root cause and corrective action
  • Apply problem solving skills to create preventative actions for any issues relative to food safety and quality.
  • Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities by staying up to date on relevant food safety topics and trends.
  • Will work in the lab and assist with pre-op.
  • Assist in writing and implementing HACCP programs, assuring compliance with FSIS regulations.
  • Assisting in writing programs to be FSMA compliant.
  • Assist in maintaining our CN labeling programs compliance.
  • Assist in maintaining FPCP (grader) program compliance.
  • Audit programs to ensure they are being followed and are effective.


  • BS degree in Biology, Chemistry or other science program is preferred
  • 2+ years of Food Manufacturing experience
  • Previous knowledge in food production Quality Assurance or related experience
  • Should be computer proficient Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP and GFSI or other manufacturing quality programs
  • Experience in developing/documenting procedures
  • Experience in implementation and auditing of Quality Assurance programs

Pay - $52,000 - $80,000 per year
