Job Description

PDSI is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a six month contract opportunity for our client in Canton, OH

The purpose of this position is to support the “procure to pay” process and the accounting team with timely entry of vendor invoices.  The Accounts Payable Specialist’s primary responsibilities will be data entry related, to ensure vendors get paid for products and services rendered.  This person also assists with answering vendor payment inquiries in addition to supporting audit requests from both the internal and external auditing teams by maintaining and saving supporting documentation in a well-organized manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely entry of vendor invoices ensuring proper approvals have been provided in line with company policy
  • Ensures proper documentation provided to support payments
  • Investigates invoicing/payment issues including receipts which do not match the invoice (pricing or quantity)
  • Reconcile the GR/IR account on a monthly basis
  • Follow-up on all invoices, including ERS if receipts have not been made in the system
  • Creation of Credit / Debit Memos as requested for vendor accounts
  • Establish new vendors/suppliers on portal to allow payment investigation
  • Identifies and communicates vendor issues to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support internal and external audit requests with periodic review
  • Participates in month end review process to ensure invoices have been recorded in the proper accounts and period
  • Other support with ad-hoc projects as needed


  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Experience with SAP


Pay Range $16 - $20 per hour
