PDSI is recruiting for a 2nd ShiftMachine Operator for a direct hire opportunity for our client in Piqua, OH
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup
The machine Operator's primary duties include setting dies and rollers in specific machines according to the product specifications. This involves lifting dies that weight as much as 65 lbs. into place and bolting them down according to set up instructions.
Additionally, the operators will place rollers and shafts in specific machines according to product specifications and adjust them according to set up instructions. Roller/shaft combinations can weigh as much as 75 lbs.
As part of the machine/tooling set up procedure, the operator will set parameters in all other equipment in the production line and adjust accordingly.
Running Production:
The machine operator will run product according to customer requirements. This includes measuring product dimensions and recording SPC data. It also includes performing specific checks as outlined in job instructions. The operator will make necessary adjustments to the production line to correct problems that develop during the production run.
The operator will use two different joining welds to join raw or finished material the production run. The operator will check tooling coolant levels and concentration levels at required times during the production run.
Maintenance:
The machine operator will perform maintenance tasks as requested. This may include greasing bearings or changing machine parts. The machine operator will keep tools and supplies arranged neatly and orderly in work area.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent GED.
One year certificate from college or technical school; or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay : $20 hour
