Job Description

PDSI is recruiting for a Quality Technician for a direct hire opportunity for our client in Piqua, OH

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and improvements of the quality system (ISO 9001). Manage and keep an action plan based on the system internal audits. Responsible for the preparation and holds the lead role in the external audit process.
  • Needs to work in coordination with the Plant manager & Production to establish the quality performances in the plant. Included but not limited to Internal Non Conformances, Supplier issues and Non Conformances, Customer complaints and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for analyzing and presenting the performance results in order to support the resulting action plan.
  • Responsible for the training of quality practices to employees and staff in the company.
  • Together with the headquarters, establish common KPI’s and regional KPI’s as needed to support the Piqua operations.
  • Key customer contact for all quality issues and manages a log of complaints and response times for quality alerts and official corrective action requests. Is also in charge of managing the material return authorizations.
  • Needs to oversee the customer quality documentation preparation and improvements. Such as PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA etc…
  • Participate in the continuous improvement process striving to increase efficiency and safety wherever possible.
  • Support operations to ensure that the production plant runs at full efficiency and that delivery
  • Correct unsafe acts or conditions and health and safety performance.
  • Ensure that all OSHA requirements are meet in the quality department and quality activities and that deficiencies are corrected.



  • Knowledge of practical application of statistical methods, SPC, Control Plans, and Problem-solving methods, such as 8-D and 5-Why.
  • ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 experience preferred
  • Competency in Microsoft Office tools and other computer applications
  • Print Reading / Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with basic inspection hand tools (including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, height gauges with indicators)
  • Self-Starting able to coordinate maintaining of systems and to do lists while maintaining flexibility for the fast-paced environment. (Project management skills)

Pay Range $55k - $65k Annually
