Pay up to $80K

 Position Summary

  • Under management supervision: implement process control programs that will assure production of finished goods that meet or exceed customer specified requirements.
  • Requires an ability to work within a diverse work force as a change agent practicing a Zero Defect Quality Philosophy.
  • Lead continuous improvement by utilizing the appropriate quality tools and provide data analysis.
  • Facilitate training of associates on inspection methods, procedures, and company policies.
  • Oversee customer complaints to determine quality activities required to eliminate issues. 

Essential Job Functions

  • This is a hands on position, working out on the shop floor providing continuous improvement feedback as needed. May function as leader of other quality associates and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Monitors and revises quality documentation as required.
  • Maintains customer contact to assure quality requirements are communicated throughout our process.
  • Monitors inspection results and process control to ensure production of finished products meets all customer specifications.
  • Conducts Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) in conjunction with advanced quality planning activities and monitors the status throughout production life.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains advanced Statistical Process Control techniques.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains accurate and appropriate operation of inspection systems and sampling techniques. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelors’ Degree in a Business or Technical Discipline or equivalent experience a plus, not required.
  • Strong working knowledge with Automotive Industry Quality Systems.
  • Experience in inspection techniques and metrology.
  • Proven problem solving ability.
  • Solid blueprint reading skills including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Sound knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
