Must have a background in CNC machining. Must have a background in an AS9100 and TS16949 Business Management System. Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, and Solid Cam.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to create and read blueprints, specifications and charts in order to design tools, gages and establish processes for manufacturing parts to meet customer's specifications.
Retrieve supplier pricing for parts/components/tooling to provide accurate cost estimates for new and redesigned products and parts
Work closely with the cost department to assure that all costs, processes and routings are recorded in the system timely for redesigned and newly released products
Perform Time studies/root cause analysis
Assist in quoting jobs
Propose cost reduction measures
Inspect and approve other Engineers written processes for errors
Work closely with Supervisors and shop employees to identify production issues and resolve problems effectively and timely
Participate in AQP meetings
Assist in the evaluation and justification of new equipment for the assembly and machine shop areas.
Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
Utilize and abide by all applicable Quality Standards and OSHA requirements and safety procedures
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
Requirements
Minimum 5 years related experience or training or combination of both
High School Diploma or GED required, engineering degree a plus!
Ability to draw, read and understand Blueprints and Specifications
Ability to think strategically
Proficient Planning Skills
Managing processes, Work Flow, and Process Improvement
Ability to define problem, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Willingness to travel 5% of the time
