Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and direct activity concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products
  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical
  • Develop sampling procedures
  • Design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data
  • Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devise methods to assess cost
  • Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability
  • Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities
  • Perform quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, research and development, and administrative application
  • Manage Quality Assurance during the absence of the Quality Manager
  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Utilize and abide by all applicable Quality Standards and OSHA requirements and safety
  • procedures
  • Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
  • Perform all required checks and complete documentation
  • Perform general housekeeping functions
  • Perform all other work assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to think strategically
  • Proficient Planning Skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with confrontation
  • Excellent Communication and writing Skills
  • Managing processes, Work Flow, and Process Improvement Rev. 1.0
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations (fractions, percentages, ratios, & proportions)
  • Ability to define problem, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Excellent eye sight (with glasses)

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years related experience or training or combination of both
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Engineering Degree Preferred
  • Works effectively in a team environment & respectful of others
  • Demonstrates a high degree of safety awareness & practice
  • Focus on job duties resulting in above satisfactory Production
  • Maintain a high level of quality through attention to detail
  • Show initiative to learn and improve skill set
