Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality team in Dayton, OH. The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), executing the requirement of ISO9001:2015, ASME SEC VII, etc.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement the provisions of ISO 9001:2015 and ASME SEC VIII.
Sustain and enhance the FMS Quality Management System.
Perform audits of quality registrars (ISO, ASME, and internal) and customer assessments.
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies aligned with industry standards and best practices.
Define quality control procedures to evaluate and monitor the performance processes and operations.
Develops FMEA, PFMEA, and DFEMA for various parts and manufacturing processes.
Perform thorough inspections, tests, and audits to identify defects, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.
Utilize various testing methods, tools, and equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Conducts gauge reliability and repeatability studies (R&R).
Document inspection and test results, maintain detailed records, and generate comprehensive reports highlighting findings, trends, and recommended corrective actions.
Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and suppliers, to address quality issues, provide feedback, and facilitate timely resolutions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address quality gaps.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish quality requirements, conduct supplier audits, and evaluate their adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations.
Provide guidance and support in resolving quality-related issues with suppliers, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to quality expectations.
Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.
Ensure that quality assurance processes and practices comply with applicable regulatory requirements and certifications.
Develops quality documents, procedures, work instructions, and forms.
Establish and execute a comprehensive training program.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred) or a related academic accreditation.
Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably within the energy industry.
Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., ISO standards, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
Familiarity with energy-related systems, equipment, and technologies.
Proficient in conducting inspections, tests, and audits using relevant tools and equipment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and certifications relevant to the industry is an advantage.
Quality-related certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Green Belt) are desirable.

WORKING HOURS: Officially, 8 am to 5 pm although we have flexibility (any schedule between 7 and 5 would be acceptable)

We need someone very organized with a profound understanding of ISO 9001 (ASME sec VIII would be a plus).

Also, somebody with some technical background would be preferable to help capture our routines and translate them into documentation. Good people skills and who knows how to organize thoughts and communicate them very well to shop floor operators and upper management.
