Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Position is the entry-level position that is responsible for the basic assembly of the standard and volume-based products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solder various electronic components, wires and other electronic parts to designated locations on printed circuit boards to IPC regulations.
Assemble microcircuits requiring fine hand assembly with the use of microscopes.
Incorporation of engineering change to new and existing products at board level.
Record activity into a database.
Review ERP for proper configuration control specifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The following is a list, though not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be in the referenced position.
Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 is required.
Ability to pass and obtain an IPC-610 certification is required.
Basic mechanical skills.
Basic computer skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to interface effectively with internal customers.
Ability to work closely with all levels of the organization.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
2+ years soldering experience required.
2+ years related defense manufacturing experience required.
IPC-610 certification preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Stand, walk, and sit throughout the 10-hour shift.
The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

Exposed to moving mechanical parts, and low voltage electrical circuits while on the manufacturing floor.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when in restricted manufacturing areas.
