We have immediate openings (direct hire!) for Electrical Technicians at PDSI (in-house position). This is a first shift position that will have some travel (light) involved for installations. Travel is about 20% for the year and is all pre-planned!
Wiring experience in but not limited to following items:
Basic electrical practices
NFPA 79 electrical standards
Rigid conduit (threading and assembling)
Knowledge and hands on experience with point to point wiring
Ability to build electrical panels
Person will work on and require knowledge of all types of equipment that include mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical
Familiar with Allen Bradley, Panel View HMI, VFD, Servo Controllers, and safety requirements to include ARC Flash (NFPA-70E ) and Lockout Tagout
Skilled in the use and care of tools and equipment of the electrical trade. (hand drills, heat guns etc.). Has own tools.
Tests, locates, and repairs electrical troubles in electrical circuits and equipment.
Installs conduits, wires, pull boxes, and switches required in making additions, extensions, or alterations in electrical systems.
Work closely with engineering, technicians, and sales teams in coordination of information to assure schedules and budgets are met.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Two years of electrical / electronic technical training preferred
Knowledge of and basic troubleshooting skills associated with: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems.
Reading and math skills are required along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
Must have understanding of electrical equipment and capability to debug equipment with minimal assistance
Basic working knowledge of PLC’s a plus
Possess strong self-motivation and exemplary work ethic.
Able to be a self-directed individual but also take direction from plant leadership.
